You will then travel to the Mutitjulu Walk, our friendly Driver Guide will lead you to the famous Mutitjulu. The waterhole is the unique water source for the Aboriginal people in the area for thousands of years. Viewing the mysterious Aboriginal rock paintings and come to understand their significance by our experienced tour guide.
Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre houses with wide range collection of original ceramics, paintings and punu (woodwork) that provide you an in-depth understanding of the unique and spiritual culture with Anangu, the traditional custodians of Uluru. Bring the unique piece of punu back home and remind your memorise .
Uluru (meaning 'we the people') is a numinous site for the Anangu and climbing is not prefered by Anangu. With this in mind, we do not recommend it. The climb onto Uluru can take up to two hours. Therefore, if you choose to do the climbing, you will not be able to go with the Uluru Base Tour, Mutitjulu Walk or visit Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. Your Driver Guide will drop you at the climb start and return to collect you for the journey back to Ayers Rock Resort. Please understand that the climb may be closed without notice due to weather conditions or cultural observance.
